Martin Spielauer is a social scientist with 25 years of experience in microsimulation modeling and projections. He has developed or contributed to models in diverse areas, including demography, education, savings and wealth, pension systems, long-term care, poverty, and health. He has been involved in microsimulation projects across five continents. Since 2016, Martin has been a senior economist at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO). Concurrent and recent activities include advisory, technical assistance, and consulting roles at the Slovenian Institute of Economic Research, FTI Consulting, The World Bank, and Statistics Austria.
